Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Healthy pinch of salt
- Honey butter (room temp-softened butter and honey to taste)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 F, Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and lightly spray with oil.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and mix in the wet ingredients. Add that to the bananas, then stir in the dry ingredients. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Pour the batter into your lined loaf pan, and bake for 50-55 minutes.
- Meanwhile, make the honey butter by mixing the honey and butter in a ramekin or small bowl with a flat knife or the back of a spoon.
- Once the bread is done, remove from the oven and let cool, then slice it up. Top with honey butter and flaky salt.
Natalie’s Notes
Made August 4, 2025. Just as good the second time! Mashed two and half bananas, and reserved one half to press into the top. The perfect unadulterated banana bread.
Made May 27, 2025. I needed to use up one overripe banana so cut this in thirds. Need the whole loaf of this! Buttery, salty, and delicious. I did not spray my parchment paper with oil and the batter did not stick.
